It's been a little while, did you miss me? You thought you buried me, didn't you? Risky. Cos I always come back, deep down you know that, and etc...you will either get that reference, or not lol. Either way, local boy done good.
Anyway, sorry for the long gap in blogposts, it has been a bit busy. And that is, of course, an epic understatement. Any of you following the site and KF in general will know that we have a lot going on, and not just the vinyl - there are events, and plans, and all sorts of interesting things going on behind the scenes. It is a lot of fun...but the sheer amount of vinyl landing has probably been the main reason why I have not had time to write a blog post in a bit.
Having said that, it is nice to start a blog without having to bring you all up to date on why something is late, because nothing is late and all orders are shipping out fast. We have NO pre-sales going on at this time. A week or so ago, we hit the "mark as sent" on...

I am writing this blog on Saturday morning because I think this coming week is going to be ludicrous, and time is going to be short! Why is it going to be short? Well....This week we are expecting a delivery of about 10,000 records. And many of those records will be getting packed and sent the moment they land.

Hooray, it's a new blog. So lets start with KF159 Ray Keith, KF186-190 Dj Force & The Evolution, and KF230 Moondance box sets, and say a hearty "oh good, those have all finally arrived and been sent out, and I no longer have to start any blogs with an update on those".
PHEW lol.
I have no words to express how relieved I am that those are all sorted. Nearly two years of "orders on my store that I cannot send" is, finally, at an end. Brilliant! And instead of asking you for a little more patience, I can instead thank you from the depths of my heart for the patience you all showed. It was a nightmare, but you guys were almost all universally understanding and cool about it. So huge, HUGE thank you for that!
Lets never do it again...

A Quick Thursday Update...
Hi Everyone,
I am gonna do my absolute best to keep this as short and sweet as possible, as its just sort of a "top up" blog lol.
So, Moondance: All the 5 vinyl set orders have been sent out. We are still awaiting the 6th vinyl, and the two sampler records that make up the 8 vinyl set. All three of those records are pressed and being packed at the plant either today or tomorrow, and will be with us either Friday or Monday. As soon as they are here, all the orders will be sent out.
Sorry for the slight delay on that one - the new pressing plant did all they could to get the KF230 box set to us, let us jump queues and all sorts...only, they were not aware how important the KF231, 232, and 233 were to that set. But they are now pressed, and will be with us soon, and with you shortly.
KF99R - Hyper On Experience - Lords Of The Null Lines (Bootleg Remixes), and KF203 - Dj Solo - Darkage, and KF204 - Dj Solo - Darkage (Original Remixes) were all meant to be here early this...
A Quick Friday Update....

A quick-ish blog post for me today!
So firstly, those of you following FB and on the mailing list will know that the KF230/DAR30 Moondance Box Set FINALLY arrived on Monday! Hooray!
What most of you wont know is that one of the worst stomach bugs I have ever had also arrived at about 9pm on Sunday night.
It then proceeded to wreak absolute havoc with me for 48 hours, and Monday and Tuesday were basically spent...let's say "close to a bathroom at all times". How did I move all the box sets in that unexpectedly arrived early Monday afternoon? Slowly, and carefully, and with plenty of rest periods, before collapsing into bed.
On the whole, it was unpleasant. Over that period I at 3 pieces of toast, and a pot noodle, and lived basically off of Gatorade and sleep.
On Wednesday morning I took Wilder and Phoenix to school, and Wilder got out of the car and threw up all over the pavement in four huge puddles of disgusting. So he got congratulated for not doing it in the car, and then he came home...

Its an exciting day. So let me bore you with reams of text lol...haha its really not boring I hope. Its a bit of recent Acen history....lets go...
Back in 2019, Acen and I had been working together for a little while. We had talked and released Play 2092 on vinyl, closely followed by the excellent Thrilla EP, and he had mentioned here and there about his older releases. Obviously I was interested in releasing those classics from the past, but my main focus and biggest thing was (and remains) new music. We had touched on the possibility of maybe doing Close Your Eyes or something, but nothing had been agreed upon.
Then, out of the blue, Acen sent me a new version of Trip To The Moon.
I have a terrible memory. And frankly, I do not dwell on the past or even think about it much. So while of course I have some epic memories of the various happenings in my musical life, you might be surprised at what I remember and what I do not. I am expecting this one any day. I know it went on the press late last week, so I would imagine it will be here this week or next week. And I cannot wait. A time will come soon where we can mail all of those orders out to customers, and do all the current orders in the store that day...and then for the first time in nearly 2 years, my store will have NO overdue orders. I may...
Another long blog post for a Monday Morning...

Its Monday morning, we are all miserable, so lets get Blogging. Oooh!
Okay, so first up - and by jimni, I will be so pleased when these aren't first up lol - but first up: Moondance and Dj Force & The Evolution box set updates.
These are still expected this month. The pressing plant is running a little late - and I know your patience is as thin as mine right now - but try to remember that our new pressing plant is actually doing very well.
MPO is the cause of this delay. We did not get the metalwork back from MPO until late November. We put the order in with the new plant as soon as that metalwork arrived. The new plant is working now at roughly a 12 weeks turnaround. So December, January, February...if they come at the end of February that is actually still on time for the plant.
They did say they would do their best to get them for end of Jan / Early feb - closer to 9-10 weeks. I probably should not have made that public as I know better than anyone...
Lets talk about The Criminal Minds...

You know, for me, the last 18 months in this industry was a bit like slowly gathering a great number of exciting objects, all different shapes and sizes, and holding them carefully so you dont drop them, as you walk up a very steep hill towards a table to put them on. The aim being to share with everyone all these glorious things, and show how wonderful they are...But just as I was about to put them down, the table would vanish and reappear another five hundred feet further up the hill. So I would just have to keep walking. A few times, a little shelf or table would appear and I could point out one or two of the amazing things, but mostly, the majority of what I was carrying just had to keep on being carried.
Im bored of this analogy. Lets move on lol...
Simply put: A lot of exciting things didn't happen last year, even though they totally should have. And some of those exciting things didn't even get mentioned because I was so busy playing "don't drop everything" lol. One of the most exciting things which got very little attention...

KF192/KF193 House Crew Box Set: We are packing and sending the orders on this as fast as we can. I hope to have the vast majority of these out by the end of the week!
REC35 Jimmy J & Cru-l-t Box Set: We have 35 copies left at the time of writing, so I am certain this will sell out. So I am going to wait until the J&C set has sold out, then Cindy and I will do a random number generator thing for the winner of the 10 Vinyl Luna-C Fractured Box Set. Once that is done, we will pack and send this one, along with the Ramos and Renegade Bob Ross EPs.
Unlike other box sets, we do not have a 5 vinyl version of "In Effect" to release after this 7 vinyl version is all gone. It is possible we will reorder on the 5 vinyl version sometime in the new year, but for...
