The Massive Hyper-On Experience Drop - 1st May

Hello my friends.

It has been a LONG time since I did a blog post. Sorry about that. Things have been moving very fast for the last...err...3 years lol. But they have been moving especially fast in the last 3 months, resulting in little time to do each weeks vinyl releases, let alone a blog post.

Its been so long that I don't even know where to start really lol - so a quick recap and then the main news!

Since January, the distribution side of the business has exploded with more and more labels joining us, including N4, Bangin Tunes, Staunch VIP, Dj Zinc, and now Hardcore Vinylists as well this week.

This has meant that we now have Adam full time working for us, and Jamie is part time but likely to be full time soon. We are trying to keep up with the increase in everything, but it has been a bit tricky to say the least. It's been a great few months though, and I have actually even had some studio time to work on a new Luna-C project for the first time in...err...well, three years actually.

Anyway, the point is, things are busy, and I can't possibly recap everything, but let me be a cliche and just say "big tings are coming" lol....and one of them is about to land on the 1st of May. And it requires a little explanation because we are trying something a little different....

In preparation for The Run Out last weekend, we got a whole bunch of new releases done so that we could have some exclusives for the day. So far, so usual lol.

As part of that, and because we have been asked so often, we decided to repress some of the older Hyper-On Experience EPs.

This was very exciting, because after years of effort, we finally got back the metalwork that would allow us to do that. We also decided to give them new uncoloured sleeves and just generally make them stand out from the previous versions.

And because we like to have exclusive releases for The Run Out record fair, we also decided to cut a few NEW represses that had not been done before, including the much sought after 10" of the Tango Remix of Disturbance.

And then, because all of our idea's always seem to sprial out of control (in the best of ways lol), we also decided to get a few new remixes done...

and press the Photek and other much sought after remixes of Lords Of The Null Lines...

and also extend Pete Cannons remix of Thundergrip onto a 12" and add Gothika Shades much sought after Disturbace Remix to it...

and, well...Hyper-On Experience also had a fantastic new EP ready at the same time....

and...well, without ever really planning it, we had the represses of the previous and original EP's...

I only realised how much we were repressing and pressing long after everything was in motion, and when i counted it all up...we had a total of TEN 12" records, and TWO 10" records.

When i realised this, I thought "well, thats the same number of records, in the same format, as we did for the Messiah Box Set" and that seemed like a pretty amazing and serendipidous coincidence.

At this time, I was not, and I am not, planning to do ANY more box sets. They are expensive to press, expensive to buy, and I would like to do each one in its own style IF I do them at all.  I was especially not planning any in the style of Messiah's Box - apart from anything else, a box set that size is a huge and risky undertaking.

Each set like that costs a lot to produce in time, planning, and financially, as each bit of the packaging has to be designed to take the contents it will take.

So to have a random different set of records EXACTLY fit such an unusual format seemed highly improbable to me.

I am not one that believes in fate or hoogy-moogy, but if the universe puts something like this into my lap, I am gonna roll with it. Especially as I have always regretted that Hyper-On did not get any sort of special edition or collectors set.

Hyper-On Experience was one of the first of the "big name" old skool artists that had faith and trust in Kniteforce Records to release their music, and they were one of the first that Kniteforce repressed anything for, going out of their way to facilitate a deal with Kniteforce and Moving Shadow. This happened long before we had the thought (or the ability, come to that) to make any sort of box set or collectors edition.

I have always felt if anyone deserved some sort of special edition or set, it is Hyper-On Experience, as their musical output and legacy over the decades is nothing short of legendary.

When I realised we had twelve singles coming in the exact format we would need, I decided to create a much deserved a special edition box set featuring all twelve of the singles, plus a USB that contains absolutely EVERYTHING Hyper-On Experience has ever done, and a mix of their music on a cassette tape. It was something I always wanted for myself, and I figured others would feel the same way.

Now, I realise that some of you will have some of the singles in this set, and I know that even so, some of you might want the gorgeous box set, but NOT want to buy repeats of already purchased EPs.

For this reason, we are doing a massive Hyper On Experience release on the Kniteforce site.

We are releasing ALL of the 12" records as singles, as shown above!

We are releasing a complete, box set version, containing the 12 records, the usb and the cassette.

AND we are also going to release a BUILD YOUR OWN version, where you can buy the box, and it comes with the inner packaging, the USB and the Tape Pack, and NONE of the records.

You can then fill it with the records you already have and buy the new ones to complete the set, should you choose to.

I realise this is a bit of an odd way to do things, but the truth is some people really love box sets, some people really just want singles, and some people already have many of the singles, but not all of them. So this seems like a good way to please everyone! So here are the details of what is coming, starting with ones that we have never released before:

Call me nuts or insane, but even I own a lot from Hyper on Experience (some twice), I bagged the whole Box! Alex is like Mozart and Beethoven in one person for the electronic music industry. I simply love his work. Big ups Chris for honouring Alex this way 👌🔊🔊🔥
