Tango Color Set, New Luna-C, Run Out Exclusives, and General News....

I haven't written a blog for AGES so this one has all sorts of information in it, and will be quite long. So have a sit down, make a tea, skive off of work for a bit, and lets get into it...
Okay, the first thing we need to talk about is the recent release of the KFORM05-08 Tango Set. Specifically, the colour set. Why do we need to talk about it?
Because on Thursday night, we put up around 100 copies of the colour set for sale...and we sold...149 copies. Which is a problem when you only have 100 available.
The reason this happened is that there was quite a lot of people (understatement) on the site for the 7pm release. We expected that, and we have made arrangements so that we have many more servers to help cope with when things get very busy. Some of you will remember that in the past we often had issues when we had too much traffic, and the site would crash or slow to a terrible crawl. Thats because we used to have only one server to handle it. Now we have seven.
The good thing about that many servers is the site runs smoothly now, and everyone who was online on Thursday could order.
The bad thing about that is we discovered a whole new problem on Thursday night. If you put up 100 copies of something, and 30 people all hit "pay now" at the same time, all 30 orders go through regardless of if there is enough stock available. And if that happens repeatedly you massively oversell.
We have seen this before every now and again, but always it was for 1 or 2 copies. Occasionally 5 or 6. And so I always hold back some copies just in case, and I did so on Thursday night. But I did not hold back an extra 49 copies.
Normally if something sells and cannot be provided, we apologise and refund. But this was too many. So I have called in a favour with our pressing plant, and they are pressing me an extra batch of colour Tango sets.
All of this is to say: Everyone who ordered the colour Tango set WILL GET WHAT THEY ORDERED. But some are going to arrive with us in a few weeks.
We are shipping the orders out in the order that the site has decided they came in, and once we have shipped the last colour Tango set we currently have, I will email everyone we cannot yet ship to.
Apologies for this, it is far from ideal - my stomach did that drop thing when I saw what happened - but at least it can be fixed, everyone will get what they ordered, and we will fix the issue in the future.
And yes, we may have a VERY FEW more of the color set. This was (obviously) not planned, but I have asked the plant to press what we need and use uyp the last of the labels and sleeves...so...we will see!
Right, let's talk about some other things! Incoming new releases, hooray!
We are gonna miss out releases this coming Thursday (2nd April) as we are still overwhelmed with Tango and Rhythm For Reasons sets to pack and ship...but after that...

I usually dont bang on about my own releases as I think thats a bit gross, but I do have two new EPs releasing on the 9th of April, and I think this is some of my finest, most Luna-Cish work. Also, it comes on red and black SQUARE vinyl:

At the same time as we release that one, I have this gorgeous green and black 10" which features PIANO PROGRESSION PART 3 - written with Nick Smart Es (AKA Mad Mind Jox) and I think it is a lovley bit of progression (ha) from the last one...and it is flipped tune I am especially proud of called "Herald Of The Change".
We have a couple of idiotic videos for those coming as well in the next week or so....Both of those EPs will go live at 7pm on Thursday 9th of April...and as we have Piano Progression 3 dropping, we got a repress of KF303 Piano Progression / Piano Progression Two...and I wanted it to fit in with the current style I am using for my Luna-C releases, so we did a new sleeve and coloured vinyl. Yummy:
And that will be the last set of releases before (DRUM ROLL) THE RUN OUT RECORD FAIR. Dan...dan...DAAHHHH.
As ever, we have a big selection of exclusive things for the record fair, including represses from Playaz (picture discs and color versions), True Playaz, Labello Blanco (Fire, and Fore Remixes), the Clarky remixes of Ray Keith (With proceeds going to Clarky's family), the third Formation set - International Rude Boyz and Sound Of The Future (Full release date 30th April) and a whole host of other goodies.
We also received the test presses for the second Nebula 2 box set and they sound superb. Unexpectedly, the pressing plant thinks we will have that set in time for The Run Out too although as ever with vinyl, NOTHING is certain until it is here. But...the plan is to have a bunch of limited and color editions for The Run Out, and then have them go live on the Sunday night! More news on that in due course, but here is a selection of artwork to look at....
Some less good news. You must all be aware of the Iran war. Regardless of political leanings, some things are true - there is a war, the flow of oil is restricted, things that need oil are going to get more expensive. Travel, and therefore shipping is a given. Prices havent gone up yet, but I bet they will. And...vinyl :( One of the plants we use has already put prices up. Sigh. As always we will try to keep our prices down as much as possible for as long as we can. We will all have to wait and see how this plays out...
Lastly, we hired a new face for our store - Ginge comes to us after being our main point of contact at one of our pressing plants - so its a given that she actually knows more about pressing vinyl than even me, not to mention she is an acomplished jungle DJ and all around good egg lol...so she is doing all the things we all do to keep the label growing, but is also going to manage a brand new part of our business!
